Lalita day 4: Vahnivasini: Nitya of Fire

Om Vahnivasiniyai Namaha

Sun: 3 Cancer
Moon: 15 Leo, 42 degrees from Sun, Waxing Crescent Moon
Inner Moon: transition between bleeding and follicular/proliferation

Moon Vibes:

Individuality. Going extreme, leaping out, feeling a strong desire for manifesting those new Moon intentions. Feeling an extreme sense of hunger for our mission and divine guidance. Developing awareness of spiritual and sexual identity. This phase relates with Imbolc/Candlemas. In tantra yoga, this is somachara, descending course of Moon, in-breath (prana-vayu) from crown to the third-eye, relates with last quarter of daylight and the element is air. In the hero’s journey this phase is where we are feeling our desires, sensing into the intentions and meet a mentor in human, plant, animal or other than human form. In the menstrual cycle, this phase is transitional including bleeding and the building up of the uterine nest in the follicular/proliferation phase. Use clean, easy to digest food.

Nutrition:

Blood cleansing pesto:

  • Organic basil, 2 handfuls
  • Organic garlic 2-3 cloves
  • 3 small brocolli crowns (handful)
  • 1 avocado
  • Half lime juice
  • Pinch of Celtic sea salt

Blend in a blender and add lime and salt to taste. This pesto is a delicious way to purify the blood on the last day of Leo Moon for this cycle. Can use as a dip, to top rice and beans (my favorite) or anything you can think of. It’s actually really hard not to to eat it on it’s own. Enjoy!

Moon in Leo:

Moon in Leo all alone out there, not making aspects to the other celestial bodies, aka “void of course.” As Megan says, you can really feel Moon without influence of other planets. Get ultra Moony today, feeling yourself in relation to Leo flavored Moon mystery. What would you be like today as the Queen/King of your reality? Be that all day.

Astrology info to consider:

Pluto/Jupiter retrograde intensifying our collective shadow, fears and addictions around money, sex, power and self serving gratification. Be in it before you try thinking your way out. Being in it is the way out of it. The true wealth includes regenerative shadow material. The most beautiful gardens have the most decaying matter covered in worms. Mercury retrograde in Cancer where we re-think and re-cognize our home life. When you say “home” what words do you think of? Is that the feeling you want to have about your homelife? Are you ready to unravel this??

Venus/Saturn playing in harmony. Good time for building love structures.

Ritual:

Moon in big hearted Leo tonight, we are now are shifting towards the waxing crescent, a growing sliver of moonlight in the night sky and our new moon seeds begin to take root.

  • Grab your journal and create sacred space, breath all your awareness into the present moment and arrive here with gratitude for the gift of this moment.
  • Call in the warm, self-loving energy of Leo and call on your Spirit guides to support you here.
  • Inspired by Cancer season, we have been writing about nourishing and supportive actions you can make a regular habit out of ritualizing this month.  What did you do today to nourish yourself?  Can you add another nourishing activity to your night tonight?
  • Inspired by Leo Moon, write a list of things you love about yourself…
    • What is most beautiful about you?
    • What do you feel others love about you the most?
  • Inspired by Chiron square Sun, write about your care wounding…
    • What about yourself do you feel like you need to hide from other?
    • How can you better love this part of yourself?
  • Now return to the affirmation you wrote last night.  For this ritual you will need a mirror, create sacred space in front of your mirror and make eye contact with yourself.  Gaze into your eyes and speak your affirmation aloud at least 3 times.  Pause to observe how this statement resonates in your body and mind.
  • Tonight I am adding a Leo moon affirmation…   Gaze into your eyes and say I love you. Repeat again and again.
  • Conclude with gratitude.  Wrap your arms around yourself, embracing yourself in a warm hug.  Take time feel everything you are grateful for today and send heart felt mental notes of gratitude to Moon and your spirit guides for supporting you.

Dreams:

Dreaming is a direct and uncensored reflection of our unconscious, not yet revealed mind. The ego-identity is intimated by dream reality, especially when you become lucid. Lucidity happens when you loose your sense of separation (non-duality) from all that you are experiencing. The ego’s whole job is to keep you believing in separation which is why lucidity can be uncomfortable.

Ancient people of Tibet and Egypt recorded their views of life, death, and after-life. Dream practices are tool for learning how to pass between life/death with whole-self consciousness. Lucid dreaming is an opportunity to practice living and dying consciously, facing our shadow-self (nightmares) and learning how to integrate it’s medicine is part of this whole-ing process.

While dreaming can be a fun-filled, trippy experience, and/or having sex with your most desired people, it is also a training ground for realization, awakening, receiving teachings and learning to awaken to your full potential.

Watch this video about dreaming.

Menstruation cycle and Moon:
What phase of your inner Moon cycle are you in? What hormones are most prominent? How does this relate with outer Moon’s transition between bleeding and follicular/proliferation phase? Remember, your cycle and Moon cycle do not need to match. Read more about the correspondences here.
