Lalita day 3: Bherunda: Nitya of Ferocity

Om Bherundayai Namaha

Sun: 7 Aries
Moon: 13 Taurus, 36 degrees from Sun, New Moon
Inner Moon: transition between bleeding and follicular/proliferation

Moon Vibes:

Individuality. Going extreme, leaping out, feeling a strong desire for manifesting those new Moon intentions. Feeling an extreme sense of hunger for our mission and divine guidance. Developing awareness of spiritual and sexual identity. This phase relates with Imbolc/Candlemas. In tantra yoga, this is somachara, descending course of Moon, in-breath (prana-vayu) from crown to the third-eye, relates with last quarter of daylight and the element is air. In the hero’s journey this phase is where we are feeling our desires, sensing into the intentions and meet a mentor in human, plant, animal or other than human form. In the menstrual cycle, this phase is transitional including bleeding and the building up of the uterine nest in the follicular/proliferation phase. Use clean, easy to digest food.

Moon in : Taurus

Another day of Taurus Moon where you enjoy the bounty of spring at home in your body, the earth.  In harmony with Mercury and Neptune we flirt with information and dreams making them part of the pleasure principle. What feels good in your imagination(images)? What feels good to think about in words? Go towards what feels good today.

Nutrition suggestion:

Yummy. Delicious. Drip drops of nature’s sweet juices gratifying your senses. Today is about abundance, receptivity and enjoyment. Honey is pure magic for the throat and vocal cords. Honey makes your voice pleasant and sweet sounding. I recommend a delicious homemade elixir of blended nut, seed, bean, rice or cow milk with your favorite spices and drizzled with local honey. Spices could be turmeric, ginger, cardamom, saffron or all of those together! Get creative and follow your animal body’s craving.

  • Blend the spices and milk in a blender.
  • Warm up the blend in a saucepan on the stove.
  • Pour into your favorite mug.
  • Drizzle with local, raw honey from bee keepers who love bees.

Allow the tea to coat your throat. Pay attention to all the sensations from the smells, tastes, textures and how it all feels.

Ritual:

Another night with the moon in Taurus, the embodied bounty of spring, plus it’s Venus day, a day for receiving the pleasures of life!  In tonight’s ritual we will continue to focus on an abundance of sensory pleasures.

Go back to last nights ritual and use it as a guide for tonight, I enjoyed last nights sacred sensory bathing ritual so much I want to hit repeat on that tonight!

Alternatively or in addition you can ritualize the creation and consumption of the yummy, delicious beverage recommended above as today’s nutrition suggestion.

Ritual is the act of bringing sacred awareness to life, every action can be a ritual. While it’s nice to bring in elements such as candles, crystals, ect., all you really need to create ritual is your full embodied presence.  Every ritual has a being, middle, and end.  In the beginning you call in sacred space and become fully present in your space, the middle is the act or series of actions you wish to ritualize, the end is your conscious conclusion of this sacred act.  Always conclude in gratitude.

In-Joy going towards what feels good tonight, savor in the abundance, and take your time.
