Lalita day 7: Tvarita: Nitya of Swiftness

Om Tvaritayai Namaha

Sun:  11 Aries
Moon: Cancer, 81 degrees from Sun, First Quarter Moon
Inner Moon: days 8-14, follicular/proliferation

Moon Vibes:

The warrior experiencing tension between self and group. Concerned with justice in the organizations and groups. Relates with vernal equinox and Ostara/Easter. In tantra yoga, this is the descending in-breath (prana-vayu) from third-eye to the soft palate, relates with midday and the element is fire. In the hero’s journey, we are taking inspired action, feeling tension and resistance in group efforts, wanting to differentiate. Feeling strong and empowered to cross initiation threshold. Blazing new trails which could become new systems for society. First quarter Moon relates with follicular and proliferation hormones, building up of estrogen, uterine walls thickening, eggs maturing. This phase of lunar cycle can be powerful and exciting. Use it for courtship, dates night, seduction, and rituals that focus on building and growing. Use foods that nurture and support. Warm and comforting foods like root vegetables and curry spices.

Ritual:

First Quarter moon in Cancer feels like the fierce nurturing mother calling us home to rest and replenish for what is to come.

Cancer is cozy and nurturing like your favorite blanket, create sacred space for tonights ritual with the intentions of a safe, warm, and supportive space.  Maybe if you still have your props from last night’s child pose available to support you.  Choose your favorite blanket and wrap it around yourself like a warm hug from the Divine Mother.  Calling the nurturing energies of Cancer into your space.

Wrapped in a blanket in your sacred space write a letter to the Divine Mother as your ritual tonight.  When I speak of the Divine Mother, I am speaking of the essential energy of creation in the Universe; the womb of dark space from which stars, just like our Sun, come bursting into light.  This essence of creation is the force that gives us life and also death, gifts us the experience of being, and bestows blessings of Love.

Before you write you letter, answer…. Who is the Divine Mother to you?

In your letter to your Divine Mother you can share all your hopes, dreams and longings; she will hold these dreams of yours in the safe and sacred space.  You can also share with her your fears, doubts and worries; she will take these woes and fill your cup with the divine nectar of her unending Love.  Let her know what you need to feel supported and nourished, she longs to take care of you.

Conclude in gratitude, imagine gratitude flying like white butterflies from your heart to Her.
