day 1: Bhagamalini: Nitya of the Flowering Yoni
Om Bhagamalinyai Namaha
Sun: 5 Aries
Moon: 19 Aries, 14 degrees from Sun, New Moon
Inner Moon: days 1-7, low progesterone, low estrogen, bleeding
Moon Vibes:
The ambiguous presence that brings gifts of creative potential. Now that we are in the darkest phase of the Moon cycle, the obscure vision makes for reimagining new possibilities. This phase is where we plant new seeds of intention. New Moon relates to Winter Solstice and Yule. In tantra yoga, this is the merging of Moon and Sun from third-eye to crown of the head. In and out breath unite at the crown of the head in breath pause (kumbhaka) where the magic of integration of opposites happens. In the hero’s journey, this is the call to adventure. The phase of the inner Moon cycle related with new Moon is menstruation. Low progesterone, low estrogen and bleeding is present. Take time to rest and reflect. Great phase for receiving dreams and insight. Use foods with higher protein, nurturing, and easy to digest.
Moon in Aries:
Moon in Aries, feeling warrior moods, craving righteousness, ready to fight for justice. Moving into 90° with Mars/Pluto/Jupiter we feel anxious/aggressive or big and powerful .. or somewhere between those. Use the energy to plant food gardens, in soil loving ways. Use it to build something for the community … community food garden???
What house and planets do you have around 5°Aries? This is where you’re being initiated by Chiron/Lilith. What’s happening for you right now?
Nutrition suggestion:
See what’s growing in your area. The “weeds” are often growing just for you because you called them in some way. Get a plant identification app to learn about what’s growing in your area and learn what they are about. Being in relationship with them is the most healing for you and them. For instance, we have nettles (dry out internal dampness) and mallow which is a respiratory healer. Obviously, just what we need!
Ritual:
Light your altar candle and call in sacred space, allowing all your awareness to land here in your present time and space and asking your spirit guides to support you in this space.
Begin tonight’s ritual by decompressing in your journal, recall the events of your day and write down the moments that feel significant, emotional or inspiring. Take time to list what you are grateful for today.
We are going to continue with the practice of breathing in the seed of thought you formulated last night(the ‘I am…’ statement). If you wish repeat your fire gazing practice from last night’s ritual too.
Seed of thought planting:
- In a comfortable seated position, close your eyes, place your palms over your heart and tune into your breathing. Follow breath in and out of your heart space.
- Imagine a garden within your body… roots grow from your lags downward connecting you to earth, fertile soil creates a bed for life in your pelvis, warm as bright as the sun shining in your belly, rich oxygen breezing through your lungs, nutrient water following down from above.
- Recall your Seed of thought, repeat it 3 time aloud and 3 times within your heart and mind.
- Breathing in carry your thought seed with your awareness into the depths of your pelvis, dropping this seed in the fertile soil here.
- Breathing out, trust your body to provide the perfect equation of light, water, and nutrients for this seed to thrive and grow.
- Just as you would if you were planting a garden, you can plant the same type of seed multiple times, repeat this process until you feel complete.
Giving thanks to your spirit guides. Keep this feeling of sacred space around you as you prepare for your dreamtime/sleep.
Astrology info to consider:
Venus in harmonious aspect with Mars/Pluto/Jupiter. beauty, art, pleasure and intimacy as art flowing into our inner ♂️warrior, (Pluto)power center and our (Jupiter) inner guru. Creating beauty, allowing pleasure. Using our energy in valuable ways.
Mercury out of shadow phase in 5 more days and things set off during retrograde (16Feb-10Mar) are starting to be more clear. What realizations have you had around that material?
Menstruation cycle and Moon:
What phase of your inner Moon cycle are you in? What hormones are most prominent? How does this relate with outer Moon’s new phase? Remember, your cycle and Moon cycle do not need to match. Read more about the correspondences here.
Dreams:
Build a dream altar. It can be a big empty bowl where you dedicate space to hold tonight’s dream images. You can include anything that serves as an invitation or reminder that you care about dreams and want to engage with them. Your dream-self will be strengthened through this altar. Watch this video about dreaming.
