Lalita day 2: Nityaklinna: Nitya of Wetness

Om Nityaklinnayai Namaha

Sun: 4 Taurus
Moon: 22 Taurus, 22 degrees from Sun
Inner Moon: days 1-7, low progesterone, low estrogen, bleeding

Moon Vibes:

The ambiguous presence that brings gifts of creative potential. Now that we are in the darkest phase of the Moon cycle, the obscure vision makes for reimagining new possibilities. This phase is where we plant new seeds of intention. New Moon relates to Winter Solstice and Yule. In tantra yoga, this is the merging of Moon and Sun from third-eye to crown of the head. In and out breath unite at the crown of the head in breath pause (kumbhaka) where the magic of integration of opposites happens. In the hero’s journey, this is the call to adventure. The phase of the inner Moon cycle related with new Moon is menstruation. Low progesterone, low estrogen and bleeding is present. Take time to rest and reflect. Great phase for receiving dreams and insight. Use foods with higher protein, nurturing, and easy to digest.

Moon in Taurus:

Moon in Taurus all day on the 24th. Feeling good, eating well, in charge of your body, sure-footed. We get 3 whole days of this ♉ Moon in new phase. Have you grounded your intention in your body? Where is it and what does it feel like? This will help anchor your intention and continue bringing you back to your body.

Astrology info to consider:

Mercury making tight 90°angles with Pluto and Jupiter through 27th. Wrapping your mind around current issues and qualities of Pluto (depth and purpose) and Jupiter (higher consciousness, golden abundance).

What house is Sun/Uranus in on your chart? This area of your life is getting cleaned out and changed, back to basics here. Making it simple and sweet ♉ Uranus works fast like electricity. May be a jolt, but stay open for change.

Nutrition suggestion:

On the third day of Taurus Moon, we may feel stagnant from the slowness. Bitters are great for Taurus, though not necessarily a favorite. Get some bitters today through herbal tinctures or more better, greens. This time of year, the “weeds” meet your needs. Dandelion, chickweed, marshmallow, and nettles should be called superfoods because they’re packed with minerals and nutrients that are exactly what your body needs right now. If you have some around your house, take pictures and send it to plant snap.

Once you have identified and make sure it is what you think, you can make a salad, tea, or prepare it in other dishes.

Ritual:

Tonight a sliver of moonlight returns to the night sky shining the energy of growth and emergence on our intentions for this moon cycle. Under this waxing Taurus crescent Moon practice grounding your intentions in your body while present with nature.

If you cannot be physically outside tonight, practice in front of an open window.

Gather your materials to go outside with you, a cloth to serve as your altar space, your journal, something to write with, a candle and any other sacred items.

  • Begin your ritual by calling in the grounded abundance of Taurus, calling in your spirit guides to support you, and breathing your awareness into your spine.
  • Feel the support of the Earth beneath you, feel a rooted connection to the ground you are sitting on. Imagine your spine with an opening at the bottom, the perineum, and an opening at the top, the crown.
  • On your inhale feel energy flowing in from the earth below and the sky above. Feel these energies merging in your body.
  • On the exhale release expectation and allow these energies to integrate and nourish you in the way they will, trust the wisdom of your body.
  • In your journal, reflect on the intentions you set Wednesday on the new moon.  Ask yourself… How can you deepen your intention? How can give more attention to your intention in daily life? Where do  you feel your intention in your body?
  • Sit with your intention here and share your intention with the Earth, place your palms on the ground and speak to the Earth of your intentions.  Trust that the Earth is continuously offering you an abundance of support.
  • Now turn your palms and gaze to the sky above, speak to the sky of your intentions. Trust that the sky is constantly offering you guidance and illumination.
  • Close sacred space by sending love and gratitude, to the Earth, to the Sky, to your body, to your breath, and to your spirit guides.

Dreams:

Build a new dream altar for 4th Moon cycle.

It can be a big empty bowl where you dedicate space to hold tonight’s dream images. You can include anything that serves as an invitation or reminder that you care about dreams and want to engage with them. Your dream-self will be strengthened through this altar. Watch this video about dreaming.
